Must Have in LIFE

Uhh..What is this ?? Here, the entire world is working
towards reducing stress, people are attending lectures, seminars, workshops to
manage stress, even children are complaining about Stress and here it says….A
must have in life?? Yes, you heard right. According to WHO, “Stress can be
defined as any type of change that causes physical, emotional or psychological
strain. Stress is your body's response to anything that requires attention or
action. Everyone experiences stress to some degree. The way you respond to
stress, however, make a big difference to your overall well-being.”
Here, we need to understand that any type of change initially
may cause discomfort or that change may be periodic, for example: after
successfully completing your graduation you have got placed and to report your
workplace you have to start waking up early.. Caused stress? Here, you have two
choices – either, feel joyful and thankful to your efforts and almighty’s grace
that you could secured a place among many others who are in need of money to
feed their family or keep on complaining for waking up early. Your thought
process shows an inability to manage the inner situation, because it does not affect
the outer situation. At the beginning of the next month you receive a text of
credits, will you still have the same amount of stress? No. Gradually you will
win over the situation and you should because we manage things which are
precious to us – our business, our family, our money, our wealth, and our
children. Is it? If the response here is NO, then you do not know how to manage
your body, your mind, your emotions, your energy, your chemistry – you do not
know how to manage anything. You are functioning by accident, so everything
would be unpleasant.
One fine day, three men are working in a factory, cutting
parts. One another man asked the first man- What are you doing? That man
yelled, are you blind? Can’t you see I am cutting these parts? This person
moved on to the next man, what are you doing? The next man replied with pale
face – since morning till evening, working in this terrifying heat to arrange
bread and butter. While asking upon to the third man - What are you doing? He
replied with a smile on his face – I work hard whole day here to give the best
possible life to my family, learn something new every day, go back home, spend
time with my family and friends and sleep peacefully to get up fresh the next
morning. Here, what is the context of one’s life decides the amount of strain
in that – A must have stress in life.
Just at the time of this diwali, in a first half I had been
to a glass Bangle shop which are left a few these days. The shop was full of
customers but all two women owners one man co-owner were showing such a
disinterest showcasing their products. I could not resist and requested them to
at least smile looking at customers on which they had replied, “these days we
need to get up early at 8AM to open this shop at 11.30AM so we feel tired..
Waking up at 8AM, what is
stressful for one person, someone else breezes through – isn’t it so?
Still Do you think, without having stress you can wake up on time;
you can reach office/school on time; following deadlines, having spent time
with family/ friends?
